Corrections Policy
How On The Beat MD identifies, records, and publishes corrections to published material.
We correct promptly and visibly. A correction is a record, not an embarrassment.
How to report an error
Use the contact form and select Correction. Include the item, the specific claim, and the basis for the correction.
We acknowledge every correction request. We respond with an outcome whether or not the item changes.
How corrections are published
Material errors of fact: the item is corrected and a dated correction note is appended to the item.
Non-material errors such as spelling or formatting: corrected silently.
Items that cannot be corrected are withdrawn, with a dated withdrawal note left in place. We do not silently delete published material.
Corrections log
Every published correction is recorded in a corrections log with the date, the item, and what changed.
